During spring break the custodial department drops to 13 full-time staff and cleans the entire Newberg campus without the assistance of our work- study students. As a result, we will be reducing the regular cleaning schedule for offices and other services in most public buildings for this week.
If, however, you feel there is cleaning that we have overlooked that needs to be done in your building this week, please e-mail me at dastlefo@georgefox.edu and I will get someone to take care of it as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Dwayne Astleford, Plant Services

If you have not completed the Housing Selection Form you have until 5 p.m. today to do so.
Just login to the Housing Form and then click on the “Housing Group Signups†link on the left side. This will take you to the page where you can find your housing code. One person from each group will then fill out the remainder of the form using codes from the other individuals in the group. Once housing codes have been entered and roommate choices confirmed you will be asked to rank the order of your housing preferences.
If you are not part of a group you can still go through the housing process as an individual. In this case, rather than being placed by your credit ranking, we will work with you to identify a suitable spot in campus housing.
For additional information about housing selection please refer to the Housing and Residence Life website. If you have questions please stop by or call the Student Life Office (ext. 2310) or email housing@georgefox.edu.

Dear Student Supervisors,
Please use this reminder checklist now as you prepare to send your March time sheets to HR:
- 3 p.m. on the third business day of the month is the deadline for time sheets (looking ahead: April 4 at 3 p.m). If your student employees are not working over spring break, I would appreciate them earlier.
- Late time sheets: Please include a note explaining why it’s late
- Timesheets must be:
- Totaled by you
- Checked for a.m./p.m. errors (correct them)
- Signed by you
- Check the dates: Are the dates listed for the correct month?
- Legible with student name and ID number
- Checked for six-hour shifts: Note meal period in start-stop times or initial and OK by you (this should be an exception, not the rule)
To ensure that we get the time sheets on time, please hand deliver them to HR. You can ask a student employee to deliver the time sheets to us as long as you first put them in a sealed envelope (keeps us in legal compliance). The only exception to this rule is the Portland Center – please scan or fax your time sheets first, then drop the originals in the mail.
Thank you for working with me to ensure a timely and accurate payroll for our students.
Melodee Powers, HR
