Tours will begin next Friday and run through the spring semester.

Did you know your Stafford Loans can increase with your grade level, you can still apply for external scholarships, and study abroad can be covered by financial aid? All of this and more will be covered in our upcoming “Paying for College” presentation specifically designed for continuing students.
While the process is similar, some things are different year two and beyond. We encourage students to attend one of these sessions so they can stay up-to-date on all things financial aid.
A presentation tomorrow (Wednesday) will cover many topics, including scholarships, student employment, FAFSA information, professional judgments and more! It will be held in Hoover 105, starting at 3 p.m.
After the in-person presentation, our financial aid counselors will be available to answer any questions you have. Sign up here!
If you have any questions, contact Brennan Rains at brains@georgefox.edu.

George Fox’s marketing team is seeking senior citizen volunteers to join us for a photo shoot tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Home Health Room in the Roberts Center.

Come aboard the Jungle Cruise and dance the night away with us down the Willamette River for the Sadie Hawkins dance. There will be a cruise on both Friday, Feb. 17, and Saturday, Feb. 18, so you can choose which one you want to go on.

Come listen to the Reiten Lecture, hosted by the College of Business, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, in Hoover 105.
Sabrina Bailey, a George Fox alumna and executive at the London Stock Exchange Group, will visit to discuss leadership in an entirely new way, talking about how success is built, in her lecture “Can’t Touch This: Investing in Success Factors No One Can Take Away.”
Unlike many presentations you may have heard on management style, career ladders, goal setting and key performance indicators, Bailey will “peel back the onion” to illuminate unchanging, fundamental factors that secure an unshakable foundation for success. You won’t want to miss it!
Refreshments and a social hour will follow after the talk.
Contact Wendi Upjohn at wupjohn@georgefox.edu for more information or if you have questions.

It’s hard to guarantee that the piece of wood you want to work with is flat. The Maker Hub’s Powermatic Jointer helps carve wood down to produce a flat surface along a board’s length. This helps when gluing board edges together so they can be flat and fit together without gaps.
A jointer cuts with a helical cutter-head made up of many tiny carbide cutters wrapped around a rotating drum. Check out this video to see how it works! For more information, check out the Maker Hub’s Wiki Page.
The Maker Hub exists as a resource and creative outlet for the entire George Fox community (yes, including non-engineers!). We are looking for student aces. A student ace is simply an expert on a piece of equipment who helps train other students on the usage of that equipment and gains extra privileges within the Maker Hub.
Please email makerhub@georgefox.edu if you would like to get connected or have any questions.
We have an exciting opportunity coming up! We have heard from many students that they would love opportunities to be able to get to know fellow theology students in an informal environment, outside of the classroom.
What if there were a student club on campus for theology students? To be clear, this would be students interested in theology, including but not limited to the theology majors and minors.
Would you like to be part of such a club? Would you perhaps even like to be a leader of such a club?
Please come to our pre-founding interest meeting, which will be a luncheon with free food, on Wednesday, Feb. 8, from noon to 12:50 p.m. in Hoover 104. We will even be cutting an Old Testament-style “covenant cake” to mark the importance of this day!
Check out our flyer here.
If you have any questions, reach out to Sunggu Yang at syang@georgefox.edu.
