Make note of 2024-25 financial aid award updates

April 10th, 2024

As of today, George Fox financial aid has received almost 70% of our returning students’ FAFSAs from the Department of Education (ED). Our plan is to begin packaging financial aid for the 2024-25 school year by tomorrow (Friday), April 12.

If we are unable to package your financial aid with your current information, there are several potential reasons why, including:

  • You have not yet submitted a 2024-25 FAFSA
  • Your FAFSA was rejected due to a missing signature or lack of consent from the student or contributor to transfer federal tax information
  • Your Student Aid Index (SAI) was not calculated because of an error on the application
  • Your FAFSA needs to be reprocessed by ED
  • You did not enter the George Fox school code in the list of schools you want your FAFSA sent to
  • You are in “provisional independent” status and require further communication with your financial aid counselor
  • You have a Proof of Citizenship checklist item on your To-Do List

If you need to make corrections to your FAFSA, ED plans to make them broadly available next week. We will notify our students as soon as we are aware that FAFSAs may be edited and resubmitted for processing. You will also have checklist items in your To-Do List with specific instructions for any necessary corrections.

If you have not submitted your 2024-25 FAFSA, do so as soon as possible!

Check your email for our recent FAFSA updates with more details, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. You can schedule an appointment with your financial aid counselor, or visit us during our drop-in hours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second floor of the Stevens Center.
