Say thanks to someone who made a difference

November 7th, 2024

Is there someone at George Fox who has made a difference in your college experience? Someone who ignited a spark that made you want to learn more than you thought you could, someone who walked alongside you during a difficult season, or a person who has been a mentor?

Take a moment to write an email, e-card, or traditional “thank you” card to that professor, RA, tutor, supervisor, or other influential person. Try to be specific as you describe how this person has contributed to your life.

Stop by the ARC in the library next week to pick up a free blank card, or send/create your own.

‘Stand Tall, Don’t Fall’: Wet weather safety alert

November 7th, 2024

With November’s wet weather, slippery surfaces are more common on campus. As part of our “Stand Tall, Don’t Fall” campaign, let’s stay vigilant to keep everyone safe.

How you can help:

  • Spot a wet or slippery area? Report it immediately to Plant Services at 503-554-2010 or use our Online Safety Hazard Reporting Tool.
  • Walk with extra caution near entrances, sidewalks and high-traffic areas
  • Remind friends and colleagues to stay alert for wet areas and keep pathways clear

Together, we can make campus safer during this rainy season by preventing slips and falls!
