Do you want your student employment paycheck to be automatically deposited in your bank account on payday? Come by the People and Culture office to sign up for direct deposit before you leave for holiday breaks.
You can either bring a voided check or a printed direct deposit form from your bank that includes your name, account number and routing number. Many banks have these forms available to print through their online banking website or mobile app. You can also fill out the Direct Deposit Form linked on our website and submit your proof from your bank to our Paperwork Dropbox .
If you aren’t able to sign up for direct deposit, remember that your paycheck will be in the mailroom unless you have put in a request with Mail Services to have your mail forwarded. Be sure to update your mailing address on file in MyGeorgeFox under the Profile tile if this is the case.

If you have been using a personal account in EBSCO databases, please be aware that the platform is moving to SSO authentication. Rather than log in after accessing the platform, researchers will automatically be logged in to an account connected to their George Fox ID.
Researchers that have been using a personal account before this shift may wish to merge their accounts for continued access to saved materials, projects, and alerts. Researchers who have not been logging in to a MyEBSCO account before this change do not need to do anything.

Doctor of Physical Therapy students are conducting a study, “A Biomechanical Analysis of the Floor Transfer in Community-Dwelling Older Adults,” overseen by principal investigators Lyndsay Stutzenberger and Tyler Whited. We are interested in how older adults get up from the floor.
To participate in our study, you must
To participate, you must NOT have a diagnosis of a neurological condition or a current illness or health issue that would make performing study activities unsafe.
If you’re interested in participating in this study and meet the above criteria, you would come to the Medical Sciences Building on Werth Boulevard, where we would ask you to sign an informed consent form, answer questions on a questionnaire, perform a short mental status examination, and have your vitals (blood pressure and heart rate) taken. Depending on the results of these assessments, you may or may not be eligible for the study.
If you’re eligible, you’ll be asked to participate in one testing session that takes up to approximately one hour. During testing sessions you will fill out questionnaires and be asked to attempt to stand up from a chair without using your arms and get up from the floor. You will not be paid for being in this study or reimbursed for any costs associated with traveling to/from the George Fox University campus.
You are able to stop participation in the study at any time and for any reason. No information that would identify you will be made public, and we do not feel there is more than minimal risk associated with this study.
If you’re still interested in participating, the next step is for us to schedule an appointment for testing. Please call 503-554-2463 or email Lyndsay Stutzenberger at lstutzenberger@georgefox.edu.
The Virtual Learning Center has trained tutors and resources to help you with your APA formatting and writing. Don’t have time for a Zoom meeting? No problem! Schedule an asynchronous appointment at traccloud.georgefox.edu.
We’re open Monday through Friday for asynchronous and Zoom appointments. We’ll get your paper back to you the same day of your appointment!
If you have any questions, please email us at vlc@georgefox.edu or call Heather Harney at 503-554-2449 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
