University community invited to Ken Austin’s memorial service Friday

The George Fox community is invited to a celebration of life service to honor the life and legacy of Ken Austin at 2:30 p.m. this Friday, May 31, in Stoffer Family Stadium (with overflow in Bauman Auditorium). A reception will immediately follow at the Chehalem Cultural Center.

To ensure that the family is prepared to welcome all who wish to celebrate Ken’s life, please take a moment to register at this link. However, all are welcome to attend regardless of registration.

George Fox University’s Physical Therapy Clinic is open now and all summer long to serve your needs. We provide care from prevention to after-surgery rehabilitation.

Our team of therapists are board-certified specialists in sports medicine, pediatrics and neuro-rehab. We can help you regain function, decrease pain and enjoy life more. Some of the common conditions we treat are sprains and strains of all body parts, surgeries to the extremities and spine, chronic pain and many more!

All are welcome to attend an interactive “Turning of the Page” event featuring, for the first time, six volumes of the Saint John’s Bible, Heritage Edition. The event is today (Tuesday) from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Murdock Library Special Collections Room.

The event will include an introduction by Paul Anderson, followed by time to explore and view a turning of the page for each volume, focusing on the spiritual and artistic masterpieces within this historic integration of Christianity and culture. For more information, visit our website.

The Heritage Edition is a fine art edition of the original Saint John’s Bible, a modern hand-written and illuminated Bible. Created under the direction of Donald Jackson, these limited editions are being shared in communities around the world.

Holy Week Chapel
Join us on Tuesday, April 16, from 10:50 to 11:40 a.m. as we remember the events from Palm Sunday to Good Friday. The university choir will be leading us in music worship. 

Shalom
Join us on Tuesday, April 16, at 9 p.m. in Canyon Commons as we discuss the events of Holy Week and their implications for discipleship, wholeness, and the spread of the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus.

Stations of the Cross
On Wednesday, April 17, at 7 p.m. in Bauman Auditorium we offer an opportunity to experience student-created Stations of the Cross and participate in an extended time of worship through music led by our Vespers band.

Maundy Thursday
Join us for an informal celebration on Thursday, April 18, from 12:30 to 1 p.m. in the Bauman Green Room as we worship and take communion together.
