Survey: Kinesiology Study

Monday, February 20th, 2023

We are two senior kinesiology students looking for people to participate in our senior research project. Our topic is looking at the prevalence of pelvic floor dysfunction and anxiety in college students.

We would appreciate it if you could take just 10 to 15 minutes to fill out our survey to help us collect data for our study. We will need to record participant names in this informed consent form, but once you actually take the survey it will be completely anonymous. Anyone can participate, regardless if you know what pelvic floor dysfunction is or if you think you experience it.

If you want to participate, please read and sign the informed consent form. Once you have done that, you will receive an email with the link to the actual survey. Thank you!

Please reach out if you have any questions about the study; our emails are mguglielmo19@georgefox.edu and eforbes20@georgefox.edu.

Disclaimer: These surveys are student generated and are not to be associated with any official research conducted by faculty and staff at George Fox University. Any views or opinions presented in these surveys are solely those of the students and do not represent those of George Fox University. The distribution of these surveys is a service provided to George Fox University students as they prepare their research required by the curriculum. Students are required to have department approval. Register now for a Wilderness First Aid course next month on the Newberg campus

Wednesday, February 15th, 2023

This is your last chance to join a Wilderness First Aid course happening the weekend of March 4-5 at the Hadlock Student Center on the Newberg campus! There are four spots remaining, so we recommend registering as soon as possible if you are interested.

The course is an excellent learning and practice opportunity for anyone that enjoys spending time outside or for those that work in an outdoor setting regularly.

Here is what a previous participant had to say about their involvement in the course:

“The WFA course allowed me to enter into my passions for outdoor recreation with confidence. The hands-on learning environment propelled me into a space where I became more equipped to introduce folks to the outdoors in a safe and welcoming environment. Thanks to this course, I have had opportunities to lead folks safely into the backcountry for the first time, which has been such a joy!”

For more information and to register, go here.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the director of campus recreation, AJ Heil, at aheil@georgefox.edu.

If you call the Bias Response Hotline, you are connecting with trauma-informed hotline advocates who are trained in crisis intervention and can provide bias response advocacy, including assistance in reporting a bias crime to law enforcement.
