George Fox University’s Symphonic Band will perform with special guest bands at an invitational band concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, in Bauman Auditorium. The Portland State University Wind Ensemble and Pacific Crest Wind Ensemble will be special guests for the event. Admission is free.
Representatives from the USPS will be at the Portland Center to facilitate applying for passports.

The Richter Scholars Program awards research grants to undergraduate and graduate students. Students in all disciplines are eligible to receive the awards and awards have been used to support everything from summer research in chemistry to a campus film project.
Awards are typically around $3,700 and can include student stipends (undergraduates can include up to $3200 for a summer stipend). Graduate students may apply for stipends; however, graduate student awards typically support direct costs of the research. Students applying for stipends should indicate the amount of time they intend to spend on the project.
The attached announcement provides details about the Richer Scholar program and on what must be included in an application.
