Register for writer’s conference by Friday to secure lower rate

Don’t forget to register for the Faith and Culture Writers Conference taking place on the Newberg campus Friday and Saturday, March 7-8. A number of well-known writers will be on campus, including Sarah Bessey, Tony Kriz, Sarah Thebarge and Deidra Riggs, among others.

The current adult registration price of $75 per person is good through this Friday, Feb. 14. After that, the price increases to $85 (Feb. 15 through March 6) and $95 (March 7-8). Registration for the Sports and Entertainment Career and Internship Fair ends today (Wednesday) at 5 p.m.! Register on Bruin Careers. If paying by cash or check, please bring payment to the IDEA Center (first floor of Stevens). You may also pay by credit card online. Payment is required to secure your registration and ticket.

The event is set for Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Moda Center in Portland.

The university community is invited to a free presentation by Robert P. George, PhD, from Princeton University this week on the Newberg campus. George will present a lecture entitled “Religious Liberty and the Rights of Conscience” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in Bauman Auditorium.

George is the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and director of the James Madison Program in Ideals and Institutions at Princeton. He is the author of numerous books in the fields of constitutional law, ethics and legal and political theory. His visit is being sponsored by the William Penn Honors Program. More information on George and his presentation is available here.

Check out our website (gfubookstore.com) to see if the book is listed as “in store.” If it is, then we have it here. You are welcome to come to the Annex or order through our website. Online orders will be processed/shipped the next business day.
