The university’s men’s basketball program is hosting a boys’ youth basketball camp with USSports Camps and Nike the week of June 26-29 on the Newberg campus! Camp will meet each day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The four-day camp, for ages 8 to 14, is a great way to kick off the summer with some basketball fun with our men’s basketball staff, players and alumni. We look forward to having your boys join us!

Description: Untethered lecture capture (ULC) is defined as the integration of multimedia resources which permit faculty to be freely mobile within the classroom while simultaneously teaching and producing audiovisual digital recordings of lecture.

The integration of cognitive load theory with multimedia instructional design principles promotes accessibility, universal design and facilitates student learning.

Presenting will be Lorretta Krautscheid, an associate professor of nursing at George Fox, and Samuel Williams, chief Information officer at Linfield University.

H.E.A.L. is an evidence-based weight management program aimed at helping you build healthy habits, improve your well-being, and lower your risk for developing Type 2 diabetes. The Providence live virtual one-on-one and group classes allow you to interact with your coaches and other program participants. You will also have opportunities to interact one-on-one with your coach.

To participate, you cannot have a previous diagnosis of Type 1 or 2 diabetes and must be:

• 18 years or older
• Have a BMI of 25 or higher, or 23 for Asian Americans
• Find out your BMI (click here)

The Portland Writing Center (PWC) is switching scheduling software from Penji to TracCloud. To make an appointment with the PWC, please go to traccloud.georgefox.edu.

All George Fox graduate and undergraduate students may schedule remote writing or academic coaching appointments with the PWC throughout the summer. Live Zoom consultations are preferred, though alternatives can be discussed if consultant availability doesn’t align with a student’s schedule.

Fall 2023 course materials selections may be submitted now. Get those orders in so the bookstore can source used books and protect its stock from other stores.

If you have any purchase orders that will not be received before the end of FY23 (i.e. June 30, 2023), please note that those will need to be paid from FY24 operating budget without exception. We have a hard cutoff date of June 30, 2023, that we need to abide by.
