This is the final call to order university stationery for the large fall order. The collective order helps keep costs low – the higher the volume, the lower the cost. Consequently, it is most economical to overestimate needs and store a small surplus.
Orders can be placed on the marketing communications website and will be accepted through Friday, Sept. 24.
Continue to purchase all non-departmental stationery (including “second-sheet letterheadâ€) through the university’s Office of Mail Services.
Questions? Email Jamison Loop at jloop@georgefox.edu.

Psychologist Carl Jung coined the term “shadow” to refer to the parts of ourselves we hide, repress or deny. Robert Bly called the shadow “the long bag we drag behind us.” We place all that would cause us pain and conflict into the bag, but it holds incredible power to transform our lives, relationships, and communities.
On Friday, Oct. 15, Join Michael Simmons as he explores practices and tools for companioning our shadow, particularly around our emotions and relationships. This course will be a space to invite Christ to meet our hidden parts and deepen that process of healing.
Michael is a spiritual director, retreat facilitator, and serves on the leadership team with Companioning Center on the board of Deep Water, a local community that provides tools, processes and sacred space for women and men to heal.
Michael is a doctoral student at Portland Seminary and is an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church.
This course will be offered via Zoom from 9 to 11 a.m. PST (noon to 2 p.m. EST). The cost is $39, and the Zoom link will be provided. You can register here if you’re interested.
If you have any questions, contact Jessica Anders (janders@georgefox.edu).

The George Fox University School of Nursing and School of Social Work would like to invite you to participate in the university’s Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS).
It is difficult for those of us who have enough to truly understand the situations that families living in poverty experience. That is why our students are required to participate in CAPS, and why we need you as a volunteer to help make it a success. As a volunteer, you will be “acting” out the part of a business owner or agency member.
Our simulation event will be held from 12:45 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, in Canyon Commons. Please RSVP to Kim Rapp (rappk@georgefox.edu) or Jenny Vuksich (jvuksich@georgefox.edu) by Thursday, Sept. 23, if you are willing to participate.
