The Nutrition Matters grant at George Fox is sponsoring upcoming cooking demonstrations. If you would like to learn how to make a healthy meal, join us in Canyon Commons tonight (Monday) from 7 to 8 p.m. to learn how to make healthy holiday food!

Emily Forbes, a George Fox alumna and local nutritionist, is passionate about helping students learn to make healthy meals. You will walk away with knowledge on how to make a dish, a sample, and the recipe! It’s like watching a cooking show, but you actually get to taste the food! Join us! Both students and employees are welcome.

The French Club is hosting an open-house style night of French cheese in the Bruin Den! Join us between 7 and 9 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday).

The Graduate School of Physical Therapy is looking for volunteers to participate in a lab session on the lower extremity. If you have a problem with your hip, knee, ankle or foot, our lab is the place to be!

Our doctor of physical therapy second-year students, along with faculty members, will be performing examinations and giving you direction on how to take care of your condition. Volunteers are needed for either a one- or two-hour session beginning at 12:30 p.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the Roberts Center.

This SPAN 285 (taught in English) course will provide an introduction to Latinx works of literature and cultures in the United States from the 1820s to the present, paying close attention to the historical and social events that have influenced the construction of U.S. Latinx identities.

Through the examination of canonical texts produced by Chicanos, Mexican-Americans, and Hispanic Caribbean authors, we will analyze questions of racial, ethnic, religious and cultural identities in conversation with current theoretical concepts. These concepts include Diaspora, border identities, oppositional consciousness, strategic essentialism, imagined communities, code-switching, tropicalization, and double-consciousness.

The George Fox music department will host its annual Christmas Concerts on Dec. 7, 8 and 9. Come enjoy an evening of wonderful music in our beautiful Bauman Auditorium.

This Sunday, Nov. 18, the Photography Club will be working on light photography around campus. We will be light painting and taking long exposure photos with glow sticks, flashlights and anything that glows.

We will be meeting at the Crisman Crossing bridge (cafeteria side) before 7 p.m., and the outing will end around 9 p.m. There will also be snacks.

If you’re interested, please sign up here so we have an idea of how many cameras, tripods and lights to bring. Please bring a coat, gloves and anything else you need to stay warm in the evening.
