Interested in Learning Latin? Join us tonight

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018

Come and learn Latin for the first time, or keep your Latin fresh! Come to the Armstrong House classroom from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Join us tonight, Oct. 3, if you missed our first meeting. Here is what to expect:

  • Drop-in: There is no need to come for the entire two and a half hours
  • Material at various levels will be presented, so absolute beginners to intermediate students are welcome
  • No cost: Materials and reading will be provided electronically

About the instructor:
Joshua Smith is in his 15th year of teaching Latin, Ancient Greek, and Humane Letters (Ancient Rome through Dante) at Veritas School, a classical Christian school here in Newberg. He has also studied in Italy under the National Endowment for the Humanities, presented on Latin pedagogy at local and national teaching conferences, and recently published a Latin-English parallel text of Virgil’s Aeneid.

Feel free to email Joshua at (jsmith@veritasschool.net) with any questions about the class or the Latin language.
