Is there someone at George Fox University who has made a difference in your college experience? Someone who ignited a spark that made you want to learn more than you thought you could, someone who walked alongside you during a difficult season, or a person who has been a mentor?
Take a moment to write an email, e-card, or traditional “thank you†card to that professor, RA, tutor, supervisor, or another influential person. Try to be specific as you describe how this person has contributed to your life.
Students in Newberg can stop by the ARC or Bruin Den to pick up a blank card while supplies last!

We would greatly appreciate any donations, including socks, gloves, hats, Chapstick, toothbrushes, toothpaste, aspirin, oatmeal packets, instant soup, snacks, and Ziplock bags. Please bring all donations to the Meridian Street House no later than Monday, Nov. 26.

Tip:Â Some scholarships require a letter of recommendation. These are due the same day Scholarship Manager closes on Jan. 21, 2019. Complete the application early to give your references time to write letters!

Hours of operation in the dining room will change over Thanksgiving weekend as follows:
- Wednesday, Nov. 21: Lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; dinner from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 22: Brunch from 10:30 to 1 a.m.; Thanksgiving dinner from 4 to 4:30 p.m.
- Friday, Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 24: Brunch from 10:30 to 11 a.m.; dinner from 5 to 5:45 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 25: Brunch from 10:30 to 11 a.m.; dinner from 5 to 7 p.m.
Regular hours of operation resume Monday, Nov. 26.

The Nutrition Matters grant at George Fox is sponsoring upcoming cooking demonstrations. If you would like to learn how to make a healthy meal, join us in Canyon Commons tonight (Monday) from 7 to 8 p.m. to learn how to make healthy holiday food!
Emily Forbes, a George Fox alumna and local nutritionist, is passionate about helping students learn to make healthy meals. You will walk away with knowledge on how to make a dish, a sample, and the recipe! It’s like watching a cooking show, but you actually get to taste the food! Join us! Both students and employees are welcome.
