Students in Sue O’Donnell’s Adolescent Development class are doing some unofficial research on the lived experiences of Latino adolescents growing up under the poverty line, and how that has affected their life outcomes.
Did your identity as a Latino adolescent make you feel other than those around you? How did living under the poverty line affect the formation of your self-identity? Have you been able to achieve your goals?
If this resonates with your (or your friend’s) experiences, we want to hear about it! We want to make sure we are representing your experiences accurately. Please fill out this quick survey. All responses are anonymous. Questions?
Contact Savanna Poston at sposton15@georgefox.edu.

Join the Health and Human Performance department as we begin a running training program for students and employees.
The training program is designed to prepare students, faculty and staff for a 5K, 10K or half marathon of their choice. This program will be open to all levels, with different route options provided each week depending on goal distance, level of experience, and/or time constraints for that given day. If you are unable to make a scheduled group run, please contact the HHP department to learn about other training plan options.
If you already have a race in mind, that’s great. If not, the group will plan to run the Rip City Race for the Roses together on April 28 in Portland. Click here for information on registering for that race.
The training group will meet on Mondays at 5 p.m., Wednesdays at 4 p.m., and Fridays at noon in front of the HHP offices. If different times are needed, please contact Mary Imboden at mimboden@georgefox.edu and she will try to coordinate with other runners who want to run at that time of day.
