NSLS orientation event is set for tomorrow

Tomorrow (Saturday), from 10 a.m. to noon, will be orientation day for new National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) members. Orientation will be held in Hoover 105. Dress code is business casual.

Gather for talk on institutional cook stoves

Join us for an exciting talk by the founders of InStove, Fred Colgan and Damon Ogle, who have dedicated their lives to improving indoor air quality and minimizing burn accidents in refugee camps, hospitals, schools, and orphanages in low-resource countries. They will be speaking in the Klages Maker Hub from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

Their talk will include how they started InStove, experiences, lessons learned, and progress over the years, and what they hope to see in the future for institutional cook stove programs.

Audition for short film

A student is holding auditions for a short film. Golden Seahorse is a film about siblings, Zane and Chloe, who attend college together and struggle with their independence. With Zane’s overprotective tendencies, he pushes his sister away and has to decide whether to tell his sister the truth about their family or continue letting her live a lie.

The roles are as follows:

  • Emily (Female, 18-25)
  • Katie (Female, 35-45)
  • Linda (Female, 45-55)
