Join the biology department for a guest research seminar on “Linking Neuronal Physiology and Behavioral Function” this Thursday, March 5, from 3 to 4 p.m. in EHS 102.
How does coordinated cellular activity in the brain control behavior? To address this, researchers use physiological measures of cellular function and behavioral tests of performance, but establishing causal connections has remained a significant challenge. As a result, the relationship between brain function and the underlying physiology of the cells and circuits that support it is not well understood.
Our lab studies the mammalian visual system in the mouse model organism. We use both electrophysiological recordings and behavioral measurements of visual function and attempt to establish causal relationships by employing perceptual learning techniques.
Questions? Contact Adina McConaughey at amcconaughey@georgefox.edu.

Participants of all fitness levels may choose two days of the week to exercise in the morning hours, rest a day, and then work out two days in the evening hours.
