Do you like showing others ways to be a more effective and efficient student? Do your friends always come to you to look over their papers before they turn them in? Do you have a GPA above 3.0?
If you answered “yes” to these questions, you might have a future as a consultant in the Academic Resource Center. We are interested in students from any major, not just English.
Applications for the 2020-21 academic year are due by Friday, March 13, at 5 p.m. Application instructions and additional information are available on this webpage. Contact Julia James (jjames@georgefox.edu) if you have questions.

Please note that Sunday, March 22, is the last day to withdraw from a class without a grade responsibility. This means that if you withdraw from a class prior to March 22, you will receive a “W” on your transcript.
If you are failing a class and you don’t withdraw, your GPA will be affected in a negative way. Information regarding withdrawing from a class can be found on this webpage.
Students with a “D” or an “F” on their midterms should make an appointment with their CAP coach as soon as possible to discuss the ramifications of withdrawing from a class.
Students withdrawing from a class should contact their CAP coach as well to discuss their class schedule for future semesters. CAP coaches can be reached at this link.
Other resources are available on campus for students:
If you need any assistance, email studentlife@georgefox.edu.

Join us for a guest lecture titled “A Network of Genes that Regulate Epidermal Integrity: What Can Roundworms Teach Us About Tissue Development?” in EHS 102 tomorrow (Tuesday) from 3 to 3:50 p.m.
In the process of discovering the genes that contribute to holding the roundworm’s skin together, we found an unexpected connection to Marfan syndrome, a connective tissue disorder. We identified a novel genetic network and putative protein components of the embryonic extracellular matrix required to maintain epidermal structural integrity in response to biomechanical forces experienced by C. elegans embryos.
