Each year during Holy Week, the Office for Spiritual Life invites the community to meditate on Jesus’ journey to the cross through a Stations of the Cross prayer experience.
As we are not able to gather together for this annual tradition, the university pastors invite you to create a similar experience in your own home. We invite you to print this document and post the Scriptures around your home so that, as you move through your house, you may prayerfully meditate on Jesus’ journey to the cross throughout this Holy Week.
Peace be with you.

The transition to remote education brings various challenges as you navigate new living situations, different course formats, and upended schedules. Take a few minutes to look at this webpage for advice about moving forward this semester, and watch this brief message about support that is available.
If you haven’t read emails from Rick Muthiah, director of Learning Support Services, you can find the text at the bottom of the webpage linked above. Contact a professor, CAP coach, the student life office, or someone else at the university if you’re having difficulty with the remote learning experience.
If you aren’t sure who to contact, call the university switchboard (503-538-8383), or email or call Rick Muthiah at rmuthiah@georgefox.edu or 503-554-2314.

Over the past several weeks, there has been an increase in the number of reported phishing attempts. Please be mindful of suspicious emails, text messages or phone calls. Here are some recent examples that have been reported:
- Receiving shared documents from unknown or unusual senders
- Offers for low prices on personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, etc.)
- Information appearing to come from health authorities
- Messages claiming to alert an individual about the suspension of his or her social security number
- Offers for online job or internship interviews
Never click on any link or follow the instructions in a suspicious email, and be sure to report phishing incidents to the service desk at servicedesk@georgefox.edu. You can also get more information about identifying phishing attempts here.

The last couple weeks have been nothing but transitions. You’ve transitioned to online instruction and likely had some of your friends move away. Maybe you’ve had to move or lost your job (or maybe your family members have lost their jobs), or your team was headed to the playoffs just to see the season canceled. Or, you may have seen your Juniors Abroad trip canceled or your commencement postponed.
If you think it would be nice to talk about all these sudden changes with others going through the same thing, the Health and Counseling Center is setting up virtual drop-in hours this week. You don’t have to call or sign up; just click on this link and you can join the conversation between 4 and 5 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon.
Watch The Daily Bruin for info on another one later in the week. We’re here for you.
