We are representing two local companies in our boxes. Caravan Coffee is supporting us with two steeped individual coffee bags and a coupon for a free cup of coffee at their tasting room in each of our boxes.

Sprinkles of Joy, a new bakery in town, will be putting 10% off coupons in all of our boxes.

CSIS students: Don’t forget to sign up for Code Jam

What is a Code Jam? George Fox’s first Code Jam is a weekend-long, fully virtual event where CSIS students will work collaboratively on a team to build a tech-related project in 30 hours. It begins Friday, March 19, and ends Sunday, March 21.

Participants will sign up individually and can form teams of two to four George Fox students. Every team will also be paired with a George Fox alumnus to serve as their mentor and advisor throughout the weekend.

If you and a few friends want to be on the same team, that’s great! You’ll be able to note who you want to team up on the registration form below. If you’re signing up individually, the Code Jam staff will place you on an awesome team!

This Code Jam is designed for students to turn technology ideas into real-life, practical projects while working in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. This is the place to showcase your creativity and innovation, as well as create something super cool outside of the classroom!

Library Workshop: ‘Research Outside the Databases’

Looking for virtual tutoring and academic support options? Check out the Open Study Table tutors! We offer 20- and 30-minute appointments for your specific questions, as well as one-hour open study group sessions!

The virtual group study sessions are held from 8 to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday. No sign-up is necessary; simply drop in with your homework and any questions you have! Each night focuses on a different topic, but feel free to join even if the specific class you are working on is not listed.

  • Monday: Josh will be available to help with chemistry, physics, theology, and communications.
  • Tuesday: Emily will be available to help with engineering prerequisites, calculus, and theology.
  • Wednesday: ARC Consultant Jaime will be available to help with writing.
  • Thursday: Olivia will be available to help with nursing classes, anatomy & physiology, Spanish, and general education classes.

Experiencing Achilles pain? Participate in PT research study

The event, titled “Removing Barriers to Integrated Behavioral Health in Primary Care: Research, Best Practices & Implementation Science,” will focus on:

  • Research origins of Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) and Collaborative Care models (CoCM)
  • Exploring Single-Session Therapy (SST)
  • Learning the components of PCBH/CoCM and how to match billing services to billing codes
  • Engaging with quality improvement and implementation science methods focusing on fiscal sustainability

As promised, today we’re bringing you Reason #2 (of 5) of why you should consider enrolling: You can save big time! At $499 per credit, the cost is less than half that of the traditional undergraduate price.

Putting it practically, if you take five online courses (15 credits worth) over your summers at Fox, you’ll pay $7,485 for a full semester’s worth of classes – significantly less than the $25,270 (which factors in living expenses) of the traditional undergraduate route.
