Please vacate these lots and be mindful of where you park during Welcome Weekend

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023

Welcome Weekend is almost here! In order for our hundreds of new students to have a seamless move-in experience, we need extra cooperation from the staff, faculty and students already here on Thursday evening, Aug. 24, and Friday, Aug. 25.

Staff and faculty: Please plan to park along the street, in the Bauman or 99W lot on Friday.

Students: If your on-campus residence is Pennington, Edwards, Weesner Village, Hobson, Macy, Sutton, Le Shana, Gulley, Brandt or Newlin halls, we need you to vacate the lots associated with these locations on Thursday morning and stay out of them on Friday.

If you normally park in the Le Shana or Newlin Hall lots, please move your cars as close to Fulton Street as possible so that the areas in front of the buildings remain clear. You can also move your vehicles to the Bauman lot.

Everyone who parks in the Pennington lot, lollipop area, Edwards or Weesner Village needs to move to the 99W lot on Thursday morning. Please keep Sheridan Street clear for easier access for our incoming students!

The lot in between the Roberts Center, Gulley and Brandt halls must be vacated on Thursday evening.

Questions? Please contact Campus Public Safety at 503-554-2090 and view the parking brochure on the CPS website for lot locations. Thank you in advance for your cooperation to help make move-in day the best day ever for our new students!

Dear George Fox Community,

We would like to announce that the George Fox Prayer Network will officially be launching this fall semester! We are a student-led, faculty-supported initiative that seeks to unify, highlight and embolden the voices of prayer in our community.

As part of our soft launch this summer, we have released a summer prayer guide you can access here. We are inviting students, faculty and parents alike to join us in prayer. Please read more about this initiative on the first page of the guide, and consider joining the prayer network to receive monthly prayer guides this coming academic year!

Please contact the spiritual life office at spirituallife@georgefox.edu with “Prayer Network” in the subject line if you have any questions about this new initiative.

Blessings.
