Ben Bowman is a Democrat in the Oregon State Legislature. Reagan Knopp is a Republican political activist. They disagree … a lot! But they also work together to produce The Oregon Bridge, the best political podcast in the state.
How do they do it? How do they relate to their guests from across the political spectrum? How do they keep the podcast so upbeat and civil? What effect are they trying to have on Oregon politics? How much pushback do they get from people in the two major parties? What can we learn from their experience?
Come find out tonight (Monday) at 7:15 p.m. in Hoover 105. This event is sponsored by the George Fox University Civility Project. For further information, contact Ron Mock at civility@georgefox.edu.

Here is what Autumn has to say about the event: “This tour will encourage and inform pro-life students on how they can be an authentic support system for the pregnant and parenting mothers on their campus and their communities. Women deserve better than Planned Parenthood, and I am excited to bring that message to the West Coast.”
Bring your friends! We can’t wait to see you there! If you have any questions, you can email Abby at aantonov21@georgefox.edu.

Come to a discussion with the hosts of the remarkable Oregon politics podcast, The Oregon Bridge, about how to have civil conversations from across partisan lines. The event will be in Hoover 105 on Monday, Nov. 13, at 7:15 p.m.
Democratic state legislator Ben Bowman and Republican political activist Reagan Knopp team up to run this podcast, despite the distinction in their political views, and they host guests of a wide range of views themselves.
Come hear about how they succeed at working together, the reactions they get from those in their parties who are more polarized, what effect they hope to have on the toxicity in our current politics, and what the rest of us can do to help achieve those goals.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Ron Mock at rmock@georgefox.edu.
