The Pre-College Summer Institute invites high school students to join us on campus this summer from Sunday, June 23, to Friday, June 28.

Participants will experience living and learning at Oregon’s top private university and spark a vision for the future. Plus, they’ll earn a $1,000 annual scholarship to George Fox at the completion of the program!

Students will:

• Earn college credit in an immersive learning environment

The university’s performing arts department invites you to a series of concerts in the coming week. All events will be held in Bauman Auditorium and are free unless noted. Here is the schedule:

• Tonight (Thursday), the university’s Jazz Ensemble, Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will perform at the Bruin Preview Concert at 7:30 p.m.
• This Saturday, April 6, a faculty bassoon recital featuring Sam Rhoton is scheduled for 2 p.m.
• On Monday, April 8, the talents of 13 musicians will be on display in a 7:30 p.m. Honors Concert, highlighting their hard work, dedication and artistic growth over the past year.
• On Thursday, April 11, the university’s Worship Ensemble will lead a night of contemporary worship beginning at 7:30 p.m.
• Next week culminates with a performance of Mozart’s Coronation Mass on Sunday, April 14, at 3 p.m. The concert is free for George Fox students and employees, as well as children. Additional tickets can be purchased here.

Come hear George Fox alumnus Dr. Jon Kershner speak about John Woolman, one of the most significant Quakers in history. Dr. Kershner will be sharing his expertise on Woolman’s theology in Canyon Commons 103 on Monday, April 8, from noon to 1:20 p.m.

A Q-and-A will follow the lecture. Lunch will be available in the Canyon Commons dining area for those who are not on a meal plan.

We are looking for people who want services for all kinds of conditions, including but not limited to general aches and pains, chronic pain, orthopedic surgery, balance/falls, pelvic floor, concussion management, sports injuries, neurological events, vestibular, general deconditioning, pediatrics, cardiovascular, and more. Grab your friends and sign up for the 5K for Uganda Glow Run/Walk this Friday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m.! The course will start on George Fox’s Stoffer Stadium track, travel around the campus perimeter twice, and end back on the track.

The cost is $20 for students, $30 for community members, and $10 for children under age 10. You can sign up at this link. All proceeds go toward the Doctor of Physical Therapy program’s medical service trip to Uganda, where we will be working with patients in rural communities.

The Meeples, a Business Communication (BUSN 250) outreach team, invite the entire George Fox community to a Board Game Night this Monday, April 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Stevens 209!
