The Bruin Community Pantry is making a change to better serve our community! We are shifting to purchasing eggs in bulk to make our budget go further, allowing us to provide more food for our students.
To make this possible, we need your help! Please donate your clean, empty cardboard egg cartons to the pantry. Your donations will allow us to distribute bulk eggs to students in a safe and secure way.
Please drop off your cartons at the food pantry during our hours of operation.
Department of Human Services representatives will be on-site at the Bruin Community Pantry to assist folks with signing up for food stamps (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits).
No appointment is required, and the hours will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28.
Stop by if you would like to speak with someone from DHS. For more information, please contact Jere Witherspoon at jwitherspoon@georgefox.edu.
Experience Shakespeare’s madcap farce like never before in our breathless 80-minute production of The Comedy of Errors.
Performed in our beautiful outdoor amphitheater, this production features George Fox students, staff, alumni and community professionals. Enjoy an evening of hilarious slapstick humor as two sets of twins turn a Mediterranean town upside down through narrow escapes, mistaken identities, and an abundance of errors.
Patrons are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs for seating during the performance. One free ticket is available for each George Fox student (Wednesday or Thursday shows only) and staff member (any performance). Use your georgefox.edu email address when checking out online at the box office.
Shows run this Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 20-21; Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23-24; and Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 28-31. All shows begin at 8 p.m.

Are you a fan of C.S. Lewis and the Inklings? Were you aware that George Fox is the academic home of the Portland C.S. Lewis Society, the world’s second-oldest Lewis society and the oldest that continues to meet in person?
If it’s of interest, feel free to join us! We now have three chapters, with weekly meetings in Newberg, biweekly in Salem, and monthly in Beaverton. The society was founded in 1972 and has been affiliated with George Fox since 2023.
The Newberg meetings will return on Wednesday, Sept. 3, after taking a summer hiatus, examining two new books, God in the Dock and The Four Loves.
