Please check each of your classes on our website (gfubookstore.com – search by course schedule) to make sure the correct books are listed. Call for name tag orders

Marketing Communications is collecting orders for name tags. For those who have regular face-to-face contact with the public and need to order a name tag, you may submit your request here.

Be sure to provide the name of the person for whom the name tag is needed; title or department; and the budget to be charged.

Final Call for FY2012-13 Transactions

Financial Affairs must receive your FY12-13 transactions no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, July 19. This includes:

  • Petty cash reimbursements
  • Credit card documentation for June charges
  • Error correction requests
  • Interdepartmental charges
  • June Invoices that have not been submitted
  • June deposits

Transactions received after July 19 will be included in the current (FY13-14) year.

Be considerate of Genesis guests when parking

Our new students and their families will be on campus this Friday, July 12 to attend Genesis. Please help to warmly welcome our guests by giving up your parking places in the Stevens, Hoover and Wood-Mar parking lots. Parking is available in the Pennington lot, on the campus side of Meridian Street, Sherman and North streets, and the Bauman lot (limited due to construction).

Please also tell your summer work-study students to avoid parking in those lots on Friday.

If you have not yet completed the Serve Day Employee Survey, please take a few minutes to do so now. This survey includes any special requests regarding sites or physical limitations, as well as transportation and team leader information.

This is an essential piece to making Serve Day a success and will only take a moment of your time. If you have any requests, now is the time to make them.

Remember: Participation in Serve Day is required for all Newberg employees. Requests to be excused from Serve Day must be submitted to the vice president or provost over your area.

Bruin Den and Villa Cafe closed July 4-5

Due to the upcoming holiday, both the Bruin Den and Villa Café will be closed this Thursday and Friday, July 4-5. The Villa Café also will be closed on Wednesday, July 3.

Reminder: Join us for Independence Day celebration Wednesday

HR invites you to participate in our eighth annual “Red, White and Blue Jeans Day.” In recognition of Independence Day (and George Fox holiday on July 4), you are invited to wear casual attire in patriotic colors on Wednesday, July 3.

At 3 p.m., the all-American dessert, apple pie a la mode, will be served on the Stevens Center plaza. We hope you can join us for this sweet treat and enjoy a chance to visit with coworkers. Summer student employees are also invited.
