Students encouraged to participate in Global Leadership Summit

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015

Once again, the Global Leadership Summit, a national program designed to help students embrace the leadership roles that God has called them to, is taking place Aug. 6-7. And although George Fox isn’t serving as a sponsor this year, students are still encouraged to participate. More information is available at willowcreek.com/summit.

The influence and impact of the church is felt most fully when everyone who’s part of a church is fully living out the life God has called them to live. This includes leaders from business, education, nonprofits and ministry. The Global Leadership Summit is designed to fuel students’ passions and sharpen their leadership skills.

Instruction is given on what to do in an emergency situation like an active shooter, and then an actual scenario is set up in your building so you can find out how to react, escape or hide from a threatening situation, and what to do next.

Please contact security at 503-554-2090 or e-mail Ed Gierok (egierok@georgefox.edu) to discuss scheduling this training for your department. Your work-study students are also encouraged to attend.
