Time for some more bite-sized wellness ideas from the Wellness Committee! There are only four this week, but they are solid.
- Social media detox: Give yourself the freedom and peace of staying off of social media for a few days. Check out the benefits here.
- Practice gratitude: Focus on the areas of your life where you feel much gratitude. This could be people, your home, your health, your faith. See how it works here.
- Pay someone a compliment: This may seem like a wellness tip for others, but don’t they always say it is better to give than to receive? Try it out.
- Practice forgiveness: This can be a tough one, but think of someone whom you can genuinely forgive. Christ forgave us and asked us to forgive. Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Check out this article from Harvard University on the power of forgiveness.
You are worth it!

Campus Public Safety will be conducting its annual bicycle roundup starting Wednesday, May 1.
At the end of spring semester, a university-wide bicycle cleanup is conducted. Bikes that are illegally parked, unregistered, or inoperable will be impounded. Bicycle racks need to be cleared to do routine maintenance to the bike racks and surrounding areas.
Bicycles may not be stored on the campus during the summer semester. Claims for impounded bikes may be made at the CPS office.
If you are staying on campus over the summer and plan to keep a bike here, please stop by Campus Public Safety to get a sticker ID. Move your bike to the rack that is closest to your summer housing.
Impounded bicycles will be kept at our office for 60 days and then donated to local charities at the discretion of the CPS office. Junk bikes will be recycled.
Questions? Contact Karen Toohey at 503-554-2091 or campussafety@georgefox.edu.
