As part of the Orbis Cascade Alliance, George Fox library patrons enjoy access to materials at 39 member libraries, with items being delivered via a courier to both Newberg and Portland campuses five days a week. In order to improve delivery and turnaround times, the Alliance is transitioning to a new courier service this summer.
During the transition to the new system, Summit deliveries will be delayed for items requested from June 26 to July 5. Summit requests can still be made during this period, but those items will be delivered after July 5.
We highly recommend placing orders for Summit materials ASAP, in order to get them before the delays are in effect. Thank you for your patience during this process as we transition to a new courier service. We look forward to being able to provide improved service going forward!

End-of-the-fiscal year deposits to be included in this year’s budget must be in Finance no later than Friday, June 30. Checks dated prior to June 30, 2017, must be deposited in the current fiscal year.
Please look around your desks and file cabinets to see if there are any lingering items that need to go to the bank. If you are taking vacation during the July 4 holiday, please send your deposits over BEFORE you leave. If you should have any questions about deposits, please contact Heather Groenlund at ext. 2173.
Final petty cash reconciliations for this fiscal year are due in Finance no later than Friday, June 30. Please remember to submit all receipts, cash, and reconciliation reports before this deadline. Please plan ahead and send these over before you leave, if you will be taking vacation over the July 4 holiday. Crews are continuing extensive resurfacing work on the Miller Gym floor in Wheeler Sports Center this week. The gym is closed through Sunday, June 11, and will reopen on Monday, June 12. Please note: Only the gym is closed; the Fitness Center and the athletics offices will remain open as scheduled.
