Bon Appetit hosts healthy cooking workshop for kids

Thursday, January 31st, 2019

On Thursday, Feb. 14, from 4 to 6 p.m., Bon Appétit would like to invite the faculty and staff’s elementary school-aged children (K-5) to the kitchen for a workshop featuring activities in healthy eating and cooking.

In this fun and interactive program, Bon Appetit chefs and educators will turn Canyon Commons into a hands-on cooking class for kids, demonstrating how fruits and vegetables can be transformed into a healthy meal. By learning about the connection between what they eat and their ability to do what they enjoy, children will go home with a newfound power to make better choices for their health.

You are welcome to accompany your child during the program, or you can leave him/her with us and use the time for your own productivity. If you choose to leave, we encourage you to join us for our “Healthy Kids Picnic” during the final 20 minutes of the program.

This workshop is free but space is limited; please register here. Questions? Contact Francie Gilmer at fgilmer@georgefox.edu.

1098-T tuition statements for students are online

Tuesday, January 29th, 2019

Do you have a dependent or spouse who is a student and are you wondering about access to their 1098-T Tuition Statement?

A PDF of the 2018 1098-T is now accessible online in MyGFU if the student has chosen to “consent” to this delivery method. It’s not too late to grant consent and get the tax form online! After consent, the form will immediately become available.\

Navigate in MyGFU to “Account Inquiry” and choose the “Account Services” tab, then “Grant Consent.” We strongly recommend that students opt for online access. It is both safe and convenient, and the PDF will have the SSN masked.

The IRS made changes and George Fox University is now required to report payments, not charges. Visit our tax information page to find out more about this year’s tax statement and to access helpful IRS links.
