Survey: Auditorium Accessibility

Monday, January 8th, 2024

The performing arts department is working on assessing and improving the accessibility of Bauman Auditorium, Wood-Mar Auditorium and the amphitheater, as well as the overall viewing experience of performances.

To find the most beneficial adjustments, we have created this brief survey that asks about the current accessibility and possible things to add in the future.

If you would like to participate in our research or have any ideas or questions, please take a few minutes to take the survey and provide your feedback. Or, you may email our accessibility coordinator, Atalia Fisher, at afisher23@georgefox.edu.

Join the ‘Step into 2024 Wellness Challenge’ kickoff event in Hadlock this Friday

Sunday, January 7th, 2024

Pickleball, rock climbing and bikes … oh my! What if you were told these are all ways you can get your steps in for the “Step into 2024 Wellness Challenge?” But wait, there’s more!

If walking in the rain isn’t your thing, we’ve got good news for you! Join us this Friday, Jan. 12, anytime between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Hadlock Student Center and we’ll introduce alternative ways to get your steps!

Get a guided tour of Hadlock and learn about the classes offered. Take part in some pickleball, walking the track, or even rock climbing. You can even join a 15-minute sample spin class at 1 p.m. On top of that, a light lunch will be served.

You’ll also get a chance to earn raffle tickets for some fun prizes during the event …

  • One ticket for just showing up
  • One ticket if your whole team shows up together
  • One ticket for trying out an activity (sample spin class, pickleball, walking the track, etc.)
  • One ticket if you fill out a liability waiver for the first time
  • One ticket if you sign up for a class

And the best part about using Hadlock to help us get our steps in? It’s totally free! This is another great perk for administrators, staff and faculty who work at George Fox. Pretty amazing!

It’s not too late to join the challenge. We’ll see you at Hadlock this Friday!
