Masks now required in Hadlock Fitness Center

Due to new information released by the Oregon Health Authority (regarding OAR 333-019-1025), masks are now required in the Hadlock Fitness Center at all times. Masks are also required in other areas of the Hadlock Student Center while not performing physical activity.

Call for stationery orders

Tuesday, September 7th, 2021

Now is the time to order university stationery! The collective order helps keep costs low: the higher the volume, the lower the cost. Consequently, it is most economical to overestimate needs and store a small surplus.

I will be accepting orders through Friday, Sept. 17. For order instructions, go to the marketing communications website. Continue to purchase all non-departmental stationery (including “second-sheet letterhead”) through the university’s Office of Mail Services.

Please contact me at jloop@georgefox.edu if you have any questions.

Thank you,
– Jamison Loop

Encourage students to attend Friday’s ‘Starting Strong at George Fox’ panel

Monday, September 6th, 2021

Take a few minutes to check in on undergraduate students – first-year students and transfers – who are new to George Fox this year. Ask for a highlight of their experience thus far, invite them to share something challenging, and welcome them to ask for assistance if they are unsure how to navigate life at George Fox.

Also, encourage them to attend the “GFU 101: Student Panel on Starting Strong at George Fox” Bruin Adventure program this Friday, Sept. 10, from 11 to 11:50 a.m. in Bauman Auditorium.

Session description: Sometimes we learn best by doing it ourselves and learning from our mistakes. And sometimes, we can learn from the wisdom of others who have gone before us. Come hear from returning students about what helped them thrive, things they wish they had done differently, and advice for your first semester at George Fox. We’ll have a time for questions for the student panel.

Contact Rick Muthiah (rmuthiah@georgefox.edu) with questions.
