Hello everyone! We are working on a project called The Bruin Closet for our business communications class. We want to provide affordable professional clothing for college students. This will be a donation-based initiative where we take clothing contributions from our community and provide them for students at a low cost.
We are collecting data to seek a baseline of where everyone stands with having/looking for professional clothing, and would appreciate if you could take two minutes to fill out our survey.
Email Tierney Zubchevich at tzubchevich19@georgefox.edu if you have any questions.
Disclaimer: These surveys are student generated and are not to be associated with any official research conducted by faculty and staff at George Fox University. Any views or opinions presented in these surveys are solely those of the students and do not represent those of George Fox University. The distribution of these surveys is a service provided to George Fox University students as they prepare their research required by the curriculum. Students are required to have department approval. Any questions about these surveys should be directed to the students associated with the survey in question.

“When you declutter – whether it’s on your home, your head, or your heart – it is astounding what will flow into that space that will enrich you, your life, and your family.” – Peter Walsh

We are looking to conceptualize a new course/experience that will serve as an onramp for a vertically integrated projects program. A vertically integrated program at Fox would be similar to our honors program in having its own course package, and would have students on teams comprised of different majors/years.
These students would be researching/designing in pursuit of solving some “wicked problem” over their time at Fox. “Wicked problems” can be generalized to large problems with no single stakeholder and no single solution.
In this survey we are seeking input regarding what potential learning objectives would be necessary for the program at large, as well as what is important to consider in the structuring of an onboarding/introductory experience.
Thanks for your participation! Contact Luke Roderick at lroderick20@georgefox.edu for more information.

Doctor of physical therapy students are conducting a research study and are in need of volunteers who are older adults. The study concerns developing a fall prevention program through balance exercises that mitigate the risk of falling.
To participate in our study, you must:
- Be age 60 or older
- Live independently or in an assisted living facility
- Be able to walk at least one block without the help of another person
- Stand unsupported without an assistive device
- Pass a mental status examination
To participate, you must not have a diagnosis of a neurological condition or a current illness or health issues that would make performing physical activities unsafe. Also, you may not be taking medications which cause excessive sleepiness.
Participants will come to the university’s Medical Sciences Building, where we ask you to sign an informed consent form, answer questions, and perform a short mental status examination and a timed up-and-go test. Depending on your responses to the questionnaires and timed up-and-go performance, you may or may not be eligible for the study.
Those eligible will perform a physical performance test in a lab setting, consisting of the following activities: blood pressure and heart rate, walking test, balance tests, and a fear of falling questionnaire.
You may stop participation at any time and for any reason. No information that would identify you will be made public, and we do not feel there is more than minimal risk associated with this study.
If you or anyone you know is interested in participating, we invite you to schedule an appointment for testing. Please call 503-554-2463 or email the study team at GFUDPT.Research@gmail.com.
