This live budget-monitoring tool created by Tim Goodfellow and Brian McLaughlin has been designed for use on smartphones, pads or computers. The tutorial can be accessed here.

Place your order online at this link for the 2011-2012 Bruin Directory. Bruin Directories are a service to the George Fox community, created by a staff within ASC. We have worked very hard to get the book out to the community in a timely fashion, and we are pleased to say that the books are near completion.

Each Bruin Directory is $5, and the total will be charged to the provided department account number. The directories will be distributed through Mail Services. The deadline for placing orders is Nov. 4, 2011.

The deadline is approaching for rental regalia requests for the December graduation. If you need to rent regalia for this event, please submit your request by Saturday, Oct. 15, at this link.

On Tuesday, Oct. 25, the Fall Staff Conference – “Survival | Revival – Preparations for the Body & Spirit” – will take place at Newberg Christian Church, 2315 Villa Road.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature worship in music, guest speakers, activities and great food! Registration will be available soon.

Please nominate a colleague who would be deserving of the September Employee of the Month award by submitting your nomination via e-mail to Peggy Kilburg by Monday, Oct. 17. Your comments should be as specific as possible and focus mainly on contributions in September that make him or her deserving of this award.

The President’s Executive Leadership Team will select the recipient from the nominations submitted, and the winner will be honored with a citation and a $100 gift card to The Allison at our next community meeting on Oct. 20.

Think of a time you received meaningful recognition for your work at George Fox. How was recognition given or appreciation expressed? How would you like a supervisor, chair, or administrator to show appreciation for your work at George Fox?

We will encourage supervisors, chairs, and others to give recognition to employees in ways that you have suggested. Human Resources is pleased to announce a new benefit available to all employees who are eligible for life and disability insurance (.75 FTE and above with one year of service). Regence Life and Health has offered us the services of an Employee Assistance Program. This EAP provides a variety of services including counseling for family and personal issues, 24-hour crisis help, and legal, financial and childcare services.
