We’re excited to announce that, in May of 2025, students and faculty from our Doctor of Physical Therapy program will be heading to Uganda for a medical service trip! Our well-established partnerships with local leaders in Uganda seek to meet the physical and educational needs that exist in these communities.
We will work alongside doctors, teachers and community leaders who have been our friends and partners for over 10 years. As we prepare to return, we need your help! This trip is being funded by donations and fundraisers, with our next one being through Burgerville on Tuesday, April 15.
Visit the Burgerville in Newberg that day and mention George Fox. You can also order ahead on the app and use the promo code GEORGEFOX.
In previous trips, we have seen kids and adults receive healthcare for the first time in their lives, after walking hours through rural Uganda to our large medical clinics. We have seen teenagers with cerebral palsy walk for the first time and even start playing soccer with friends.
We have helped Ugandans with amputations return to the professional world in previously lost careers. We have even saved the lives of kids with hydrocephalus, and helped adults with progressive cancers by identifying their condition and ensuring they get the medical care they need.
Thank you for your support! Contact Amanda Brandes at abrandes23@georgefox.edu if you have any questions.

As Easter approaches, the university community is welcome to reflect on the death and sacrifice of Jesus at a special concert, “The Way of the Cross,” at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, in Bauman Auidtorium.
Special guest soloists Richard Zeller and Susan Buehler will join the university’s Concert Choir and Chamber Orchestra in performing Requiem by Gabriel Fauré. The performance, featuring more than 150 singers, is contemplative, reflecting on the death of Christ, how we live, the death that is to follow, and the promise of heaven.
George Fox students and employees may receive one free ticket per person. Additional tickets may be purchased here. Come join us in contemplating the sacrifice Jesus made for us.
Reach out to Danielle Warner at dwarner@georgefox.edu with any questions.

George Fox University welcomes Pat Gelsinger, former CEO of Intel Corporation, to campus for an engaging and timely lecture: “Big Tech & Big Responsibility: Faith, Work, and Preparing the Next Generation – How Industry Leaders Can Foster Ethical Innovation.”
The lecture will be tonight (Tuesday) at 7 p.m. in Bauman Auditorium. Chapel credit will be given to students who attend. You can claim seats and by visiting this link.
This lecture is a rare opportunity to hear from one of the most influential minds in technology and leadership. Gelsinger dedicated 30 years to Intel before stepping away to become CEO of VMware, where he led the company’s transformation into a global powerhouse in cloud infrastructure, enterprise mobility, and cybersecurity – nearly tripling its annual revenue.
In 2019, his visionary leadership and dedication to a positive workplace culture earned him the title of America’s top CEO in Glassdoor’s annual employee survey. In 2021, he returned to Intel as CEO, taking the helm to guide the company into its next era of innovation and growth.
