Keep celebrating Earth Day and God’s creation with two service opportunities this week. Last week a small but mighty volunteer crew from George Fox helped remove sod from the site of a new community garden. Come help us finish clearing the area, plant laurel at the perimeter, and build garden beds this week!
Any help is much appreciated. The address is 501 Mission Drive (Newberg Peace Garden). The sooner beds are built, the sooner produce can start to be grown, which will benefit people in our community who use the Bruin Community Pantry.
Dates:
- Thursday, April 24, 3:30 to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, April 26, 9 a.m. to noon
Elective chapel credit is available, and people seeking volunteer hours for another program are more than welcome to get them with us.
Contact Holly Shelton at hshelton@georgefox.edu if you have questions.

Your generosity can make a real difference in the lives of students! The Bruin Community Pantry is a vital resource providing support to students in need, and we’re making it even easier for you to contribute.
During finals week, the Bruin Community Pantry will accept non-perishable food, clothing, and any kitchen items you don’t wish to take back home!
Use Your Unused Flex Points to Give Back
Have leftover flex points at the end of the semester? Now you can easily turn them into support for the Bruin Community Pantry by using them to purchase non-perishable food items at the Makers Market or Bridge Cafe.
You can drop these items off any time during the hours of operation listed on the website.
Questions? Contact Jere Witherspoon at jwitherspoon@georgefox.edu.

Before you head out for summer break, we want to ensure that you are financially equipped for next school year and are maximizing all of your resources.
Be Known, Be Done, May 1

- Accept, reduce, or decline your loans in MyGeorgeFox by following these instructions (we can always adjust them for you later if you change your mind).
- Plan ahead if you’ll be using a Parent PLUS Loan or a private loan – applications open on May 1!
- Complete all To Do List items in your MyGeorgeFox account (under the Tasks tile) to authorize your federal aid.
- Submit a 2025-26 Professional Judgment request if your family’s financial situation has changed since 2023, or if you had a Professional Judgment this year for special circumstances that will continue next year.
