Students: Before you say your goodbyes and leave campus, here are a few payroll reminders.
First, please be sure to lock your timesheets once you are finished working your last shift in April. This will prevent any delays on your May paycheck.
Second, be sure to update any address changes with Mail Services or sign up for direct deposit. Payroll will continue to distribute checks through mail services, so an accurate address is important.
To get your paycheck automatically sent to your bank account on payday, sign up for direct deposit by stopping by the Office of People and Culture. You can either bring a voided check or a printed direct deposit form from your bank that includes your name, account number and routing number. Many banks have these forms available to print through their online banking website or mobile app.
You can also fill out the direct deposit form linked on our website and submit your proof from your bank to our paperwork dropbox.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Office of People and Culture at peopleandculture@georgefox.edu. Thanks, and have a great summer!

So, what did Tolkien really think of Narnia? A presentation by Dr. Holly Ordway addresses the question – the first in a series of keynote lectures uploaded to a new YouTube channel featuring content from The Undiscovered C.S. Lewis Conference hosted on campus last fall. The event was the largest academic conference on Lewis in history (no exaggeration!).
Be sure to subscribe to the channel and stay tuned for other stimulating keynote lectures that will be added over the course of the next few weeks, one per week. You can also help promote it by sharing the channel, liking the video, and sharing the video.

As finals week approaches, consider sharing helpful study and planning tools with your students.
Numerade is an AI-powered study tool packed with step-by-step video explanations, flashcards, and self-quizzing features. It is especially helpful for STEM classes, but great for any discipline.
For time and task management, Goblin Tools provides AI-assisted planning through its its “Magic To-Do” feature, helping students break down large assignments or study goals into manageable, actionable steps.
Please review university policies and your course guidelines about appropriate use of AI tools with students. Review the AI for Student Success page for resources on responsible AI use to support student learning.
