Explore the virtues of empathy, humility and gratitude in navigating disagreement

Come explore with Mark and Lisa McMinn how their latest book, An Invitation to Slow, adds to our understanding of civility and the role civility plays in building a good life. The session will be in EHS 102 starting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 10.

The McMinns, both longtime members of the George Fox University faculty, highlight the virtues of empathy, humility and gratitude (among others) as keys to a healthy, satisfying and productive life. They will explore with George Fox Civility Project director Ron Mock what those virtues offer communities working to treat their disagreements as gifts for community betterment.
