Attend Dr. Bert Emerson’s lecture on democracy and American literature tomorrow
Democracy on your mind? Come listen to Dr. Bert Emerson, associate professor of English and honors program director at Whitworth University, lecture about what American literature might teach us about democracy today. The lecture, given in EHS 102 at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday) will be based on his recent book, American Literary Misfits.
Additionally, join a discussion of American Literary Misfits in Hoover 250 at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, with George Fox faculty members Harrison Dietzman, Ed Song, and Rachel Winslow, who will be giving short responses to the book, followed by a response from Emerson.
