A research group from the doctor of physical therapy department is seeking participants interested in having their lower leg strength, balance, and walking abilities assessed during a one-hour session in the biomechanics lab.

You may qualify if you:

• Are between 45 and 70 years old
• Can walk 30 feet without an assistive device
• Have not had surgery, a serious orthopedic injury, or pregnancy in the past three months that significantly reduced your activity level
• Do not have a neurologic condition or diagnosis such as a nerve injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, or peripheral neuropathy
• Do not have an allergy to paper tape

Greetings! The Chess Club will be meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) at 1:30 p.m. instead of Friday this week. There will be lessons on openings and free play as usual. This week’s activities will focus on Fischer Random Chess. We meet in the Murdock Library.

You’re invited to join us for an off-campus retreat during spring break on Friday, March 21, through Sunday, March 23.

These retreats are thoughtfully designed for a small group of 10-12 students and will take place off campus. During the retreat, participants can expect to enter into a slower pace to engage in various spiritual practices that refresh their mind, body, and spirit. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to create connections with fellow students and staff, fostering a sense of community and support.

You must fill out this application to express interest in attending. You will receive a confirmation email to let you know you’ve been selected to attend and then you will secure your spot with $20. The $20 covers food, lodging, and transportation. The last day to sign up is Friday, March 7.

Dr. Abraham Nussbaum is the Chief Education Officer of Denver Health, where he provides strategic direction to the education of 3,000 learners in 38 healthcare professions annually.

The 2025 Collegiate Day of Prayer is coming up this Thursday, Feb. 27. Parent and Family Programs invite you to join us in a day devoted to prayer for the students, faculty and administration of George Fox. We welcome our families and George Fox community to take time during this day to pray from your homes or work as you feel led.

Join us today (Monday) for a special Theology Club meeting where Dr. Ron Clark will present a session on healthy masculinity and guiding young men to spiritual maturity. We will meet from noon to 12:50 p.m. in Hoover 104.

This is a presentation focused on Proverbs 31, schools, and toxic and healthy masculinity in the Bible. The presentation also makes applications to our work in ministry with abuse, masculinity, and misogyny. All are welcome to join. Lunch is free, and non-Bauman chapel credit is available.
