Come to the graduate research symposium hosted in Canyon Commons on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The DMSc (Doctor of Medical Science) program was created in response to an ever-growing demand for healthcare leaders, particularly in rural, traditionally underserved and international locations. Our DMSc students are excited to present their research to you in a symposium-format doctoral defense.
The focus of our students’ research is rooted in service and leadership, with an emphasis on global health and humanitarian service and leadership. As a part of their coursework, our DMSc students participated in a service trip to Africa and the greater Pacific Northwest.
Take a short break from the Christmas Extravaganza and come to the symposium in Canyon Commons to hear about the exciting research our DMSc students have been doing. You will not only have the opportunity to hear about their research but are also encouraged to ask questions and interact with our students.
If you have questions, contact CJ Lobato at clobato@georgefox.edu.

The annual campus-wide Christmas Extravaganza is a wonderful time for everyone across the university to come together and celebrate the Christmas season.
The Extravaganza begins at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, with many of the beloved attractions returning! There will be carriage rides, baby goats, s’mores, fire pits, “Santa’s Workshop” in the Maker Hub, ornament and cookie decorating, music performances in the chapel, lots of delicious treats, and more!
We are in need of volunteers to help make this event a success and a blessing to our campus community and their families. Please email Liz Garland in the president’s office at lgarland@georgefox.edu if you would like to sign up for a volunteer shift. There are many time slots and assignments available, and you can choose the volunteer assignment that works best for you.
We’re looking forward to bringing an evening full of Christmas cheer to campus on Dec. 5!
