Audition for new performing arts ensemble, Epiphany, this Friday

Sunday, March 6th, 2022

Audition for Epiphany (formerly “University Players”), a new performing arts ensemble that features 12 actor-storytellers and singer-songwriters, this Friday, March 11.

The ensemble will create their own material around a shared theme and tour churches, schools, prisons, and retirement homes around the Northwest in 2022-23. Epiphany will integrate faith and art in compelling and life-changing ways.

Audition Details

Auditions will be from 2 to 2:50 p.m. or from 3 to 3:15 p.m. this Friday in Ross 140. They are open to students from any major with any level of experience. Pick a 50-minute time slot that works for you.

What to Prepare

Actor-Storytellers: Please bring a one- to three-minute story of a significant event in your own life, told in the first person. This does not need to be memorized, and must be no longer than three minutes. (If you have musical abilities too, prepare a 15- to 30-second musical moment.)

Singer-Songwriters: If you identify more as a musician, please prepare a short musical moment, 60 to 90 seconds long, using any instrument you choose. A piano will be available. (If you enjoy storytelling too, prepare a story from your own life, told in the first person, no longer than two minutes.)

Other unique skills are also welcome! Delight us with a handstand or juggling or … you name it. Show us something interesting.
