Last chance to sign up for affinity tent at homecoming next month

Wednesday, September 1st, 2021

Homecoming is Oct. 8-9, and the alumni office is looking forward to hosting alumni on campus in person this year!

Affinity reunions will be an important focus of homecoming, with the main event taking place on the quad right before the football game. If your department or affinity group would like to host an affinity reunion, sign up now! This is your last chance to do so before the big event!

We are looking for six to eight affinity groups or departments to host tents, invite their alumni and current students, and reconnect before the game (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) on Saturday, Oct. 9. Now’s your chance to creatively re-engage your alumni at this fun, community-wide event! As always, Sara Reamy is available to help with communication, brainstorming and post-event follow-up!

Snag your booth today by emailing Sara at sreamy@georgefox.edu.

Mask policy for Chehalem Aquatic & Fitness Center

Wednesday, September 1st, 2021

George Fox has purchased group memberships for the Chehalem Aquatic and Fitness Center (CAFC), meaning all undergraduate students and university employees are able to use the facility.

If you choose to take advantage of this benefit, please note that CAFC has a more restrictive mask policy than we have in our university fitness areas. Masks are required in all areas except in the pool. Face shields are considered acceptable face covering, but must be worn even while working out.

The policies are in place to protect the large senior population who go to CAFC, so please be respectful of the face-covering requirements when using the facility.

If you have any questions, please email Bill Buhrow at bbuhrow@georgefox.edu, or call CAFC at 503-538-7454.
