If you have concerns about a student in the traditional undergraduate program, log into Fox360 atFox360.georgefox.edu to submit an “alert†for the student. Submit alerts for concerns in the following areas:
- Academic – Missing multiple classes; consistently poor academic performance
- Behavioral – Concerning or disruptive behaviors in or outside of class
- Emotional – Mental health concerns; unusual emotional expression
- Physical – Medical concerns; extreme changes in grooming, personal care
- Social – Personal, social, or family concerns that are affecting well-being and performance
This Fox360 Quick Guide provides a visual overview of the Fox360 system; more details about using Fox360 are available in this Google Doc.
The Student Support Network will assign a “case manager†to follow up with students. Case managers will do our best to give updates to faculty members who submit alerts or provide feedback. You are welcome to contact Jere Witherspoon (jwithers@georgefox.edu) or Rick Muthiah to inquire about the status of a student.
If you have questions or would like more information regarding Fox360, contact Rick Muthiah at 503-554-2314 or rmuthiah@georgefox.edu.

Do you have a disability or diagnosis that impacted you in your educational journey or in your employment? Disability and Accessibility Services (DAS) is working on a series of videos highlighting George Fox staff members and the intersection of their disability/diagnoses and their educational/professional experience.
Would you be willing to participate in a recorded interview for our gfu.accessibility Instagram page and the DAS website? A student employee would email you to set up a date and time and would facilitate and record the interview.
We would love for students to hear that asking for help or accommodations can be a part of a successful professional life, and that it’s OK to ask for help when you need it.
We would greatly appreciate the experience/insight you have to give the George Fox community. Contact das@georgefox.edu if you are interested in participating.

The George Fox Civility Project invites you to hear from a Palestinian Christian who’s working on a significant civility project.
The two-part series with Jonathan Kuttab begins tomorrow (Thursday) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. via Zoom. He will be speaking on the topic “Civility, Justice, and a Bill of Rights: A Vision of Israel/Palestine as One State.†Please register for the event here. SpiL credit is available for students.
Â
Kuttab has an ambitious vision. For the first part of the series, he will discuss what politics in Israel and Palestine must look like in the long term for two traumatized groups to live safely, justly, and peaceably side by side in a small country.
On Wednesday, March 31, he will focus on civility-boosting transformations needed now for Palestinians and Israelis to negotiate a one-state solution.
Â
According to George Fox Civility Project director Ron Mock, “Kuttab’s transformative project could teach us critically needed lessons about civility, justice, and political peacemaking. George Fox needs to be right in the middle of all that learning.â€
 Â
If you would like to be connected to the Civility Project, please email Ron (civility@georgefox.edu) or visit the Civility Project website.

We all have important stories to share about isolation and belonging. Often, these stories involve overcoming hardship and adversity in order to reach a place of security.
Starting today (Wednesday), the Sources of Strength team will be releasing a series of interviews with George Fox students, professors and alumni regarding their experiences with this idea of belonging in their own lives.
What obstacles did they face and how did they surmount them? If they were to do it again, how might they approach belonging differently – and how can anyone hope to find belonging amidst a global pandemic?
Join us every Wednesday to hear about your community’s strengths and become encouraged and challenged to discover your own. Listen on Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, or Spotify!
Questions? Contact Ben Drury (bdrury17@georgefox.edu).
