‘I am afraid’ exhibit closes tomorrow in Portland Center’s library

This week is the last opportunity to view the art exhibit “I am afraid” in the Portland Center library. The exhibit by Jennifer Lichtenberg is based on Ta-Nehisi Coates’ book Between the World and Me, where Coates addresses what it means to inhabit an African American body in today’s America.

The display ends Wednesday, Feb. 7, and will then be displayed in the university’s library in Newberg for the rest of Black History Month.
