Consider taking a one-credit career course next year

Did you know the IDEA Center offers three one-credit courses to prepare you for everything from choosing a major to landing a job after graduation? Read the descriptions below to see if one of these classes would be just right for you!

GEED 214 – Discover your Calling – Fridays from 12 to 12:50 p.m.
This course promotes self-discovery in relationship to vocational calling, values, interests and strengths development to help you identify educational and occupational pathways (for freshmen and sophomores).

GEED 216 – Internships: Finding, Landing and Succeeding – Mondays from 12 to 12:50 p.m.
This course will help you identify a career direction, create a personal brand, build a network, and write an effective resume – all to help you work towards landing and succeeding in an internship (for sophomores and juniors).

GEED 218 – Developing Professional Identity – Wednesdays from 12 to 12:50 p.m.
This course focuses on developing an understanding of professional identity by working on technical components like resume and e-presence, and by developing a strategy to reach your professional goals (for juniors and seniors).
