Tonight’s lecture topic: Is baseball still America’s ‘National Pastime’?

Join us for a Liberal Arts and Critical Issues presentation tonight (Monday) when author Rob Neyer presents “Baseball: Still the National Pastime?” in Hoover 105. The same presentation will be made from 5 to 6 p.m. and from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Polls suggest that America’s erstwhile favorite sport is now far less popular than football, with basketball and perhaps even soccer gaining fast. But is there still something to be said for baseball as America’s (or maybe the Americas’) most meaningful sport? Come hear Neyer discuss this very topic.

The theme for this semester’s LACI series is “The Future of the American Dream.” For more information, contact Laurie Fair at lfair@georgefox.edu.
