Sculptor and printmaker speaks at Art Talk tonight
Join us tonight (Monday) for an Art Talk lecture featuring Althea Murphy Price, a sculptor and printmaker. She received her Master of Arts in printmaking and painting from Purdue University and a Master of Fine Arts in printmaking from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia.
She has presented her work internationally, sharing her unique method of using synthetic hair as her medium to sculpt and make prints that comment on a personal and cultural history of hair.
Don’t miss out on hearing from Althea tonight at 6 p.m. at the Chehalem Cultural Center (415 E. Sheridan St.).
