Important info from IT on new operating system

Apple’s recent release of the El Capitan operating system (OS X 10.11) has resulted in an incompatibility with the FortiClient VPN. This is the VPN client used to connect to the George Fox network from off campus. The impact of this varies. ​In the best case users are unable to browse the web. In the worst cases users computers may observe repeated system restarts.

Based on this information, the Service Desk is recommending that users do not update their Mac computers to El Capitan until a compatible client is available. If you have already updated to El Capitan you are encouraged to uninstall the FortiClient VPN software while in Safe Mode.
