Don’t miss Google on campus tomorrow!

The “Googlers” will be here tomorrow (Thursday) in the Cap and Gown Room. Here is the schedule:

  • 10:50-11:40 a.m. – Tech Talk: Innovative Ideas for Bringing the Next Billion Users Online
  • 11:40 a.m – 1 p.m. – Lunch with Google Engineers (food provided)

Tech Talk Summary: Over a billion people live in parts of the world with severely constrained Internet access. Shortages of infrastructure, of literacy and of market incentives contribute to disconnecting these individuals from economic opportunities, education and political activity. But many people are refusing to settle for the status quo. This talk will explore some creative approaches to joining cyberspace that people have developed to overcome their technical challenges within their limited resources.

Our guests will also spend time talking about Google’s internships and full-time positions for technical students. There will also be time for mock interviews after lunch.
