Scholar speaks today on early Judean identity formation
Allen Jones (PhD, Corban University) will speak today (Tuesday) on early Judean identity formation in the wake of the Babylonian exile and the subsequent return to the land. The “Intellectual Feast” will be from 4 to 5 p.m. in Hoover 250. The talk will focus primarily on the book of Ruth and its contribution to the period, but other Second Temple texts (e.g. Ezra-Nehemiah, Chronicles, Pauline literature) will also enter the conversation.
