Influence of Emerging Culture discussed in Monday’s LACI lecture

All are invited to the fourth installment of the spring Liberal Arts and Critical Issues series this Monday, Feb. 18, in Hoover 105. The theme of this spring’s lecture series is “State of the Union.”

Monday’s session runs from 7 to 8 p.m. and features Terrence Steele, a sociology professor at George Fox. He will present “The Changing State of the Union: How the Emerging Culture is Influencing American Culture,” in which he will explore the changes in social norms and institutions due to the shift from Modern American culture to the Emerging Culture, with attention to areas such as religion and church, education, politics and business.

The same session is presented from 4:40 to 5:40 p.m.; however, it is recommended that the general public attend the evening session, if possible.
